Today…

was not so interesting.  And I don’t have any witty remarks, or even a semi-fascinating tirade about life in the land of the Kiwis.  Darn.

A few points of (possible, but not probable) interest:

-Officially booked for transportation for the South Island when Kat gets here in June.  We have plane tickets down to Christchurch ($50 each way per person) and an Escape Van rental.  It’s a nice chunky van complete with table, chairs, bed, and kitchen sink in the back.  So pumped!

-Trying to transfer files back home is the biggest pain in the butt.  I can’t upload to Megavideo straight off my network because the University blocks it.  I have a program I can use to get around that, but it makes the Internet so slow.  (I’ll have a more effective Internet rant at a later time.)

-I’ve been on a crepe kick recently.  I made pancakes for breakfast two weekends ago and really enjoyed them.  So, the other day I made a pastrami and cheese crepe for lunch, and just now had a chicken and cheese one as an after-Frisbee snack.

-Speaking of Frisbee, it’s so much fun.  I’m really no good at indoors–it’s so fast paced and small, and I don’t really know enough about game play to know where to run.  I feel like I get in the way more than I get anything else.

-It’s been pretty windy (though, according to a guy from Frisbee, the wind this year is very calm), and my building has been shaking.  It scares me a little.

And I’ll leave you with a video.  It’s a little old, but it’s been stuck in my head.  A Barats and Bereta video.

I’ve never seen that Barats and Bereta one. But if my toddler looks as cute as that one does, my life will be a success. She is adorable.
