The Penn State Arboretum

October 27, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

Penn State has recently added an Arboretum north of campus. It has a few fountains, plants, and trees, as well as some grassy areas. Though it palls in comparison to the Cornell Arboretum, it is only in the beginning stages of being built. In fact, State I isn’t “officially” unveiled until April 2010, though people are allowed to walk around just fine.

It was such a gorgeous day yesterday that I couldn’t pass taking some pictures, despite the homework I had due today. Lena and I took a drive up to the Arboretum and took a few shots. Unfortunately, the Sun was just low enough that we missed a lot of the light in our shots. Afterward, we tried to get up on a lookout to shoot the sunset, but the lookout looked in the wrong direction. Maybe it’ll be a great spot for sunrise pictures? Maybe.

That's awesome they have an arboretum now. Though, you are right–it pales in comparison to Cornell's (or maybe I am biased!). I think you should come here and do a comparison.
